A long-overdue expansion of facilities for physical and life sciences, the 25,000sf building is designed to achieve LEED Gold certification and has a construction budget of $10 million. The two-story building contains laboratories for Biology, Physics, Engineering and Enology classes, as well as student workrooms, preparation and other support areas. A teaching garden, greenhouse and roof deck provide additional, flexible learning environments. New laboratories and selective renovation of existing facilities will relieve demand on the programs, mitigate potentially unsafe conditions, and support the Allied Health program, creating a pool of educated, experienced technologists for jobs in the healthcare and research industries.
Judy led the design team in Programming, Conceptual and Schematic Design Phases. The project is complete.
